Prepared for Brexit

Rapid Welding has been importing and exporting goods for over a decade, and these years of experience helped us prepare for January 1^st 2021, putting us in the best possible position to enable our customers and ourselves to trade competitively, quickly and easily, as the UK moves forward independent of the EU.

Brexit has proved, and indeed continues to prove, a challenging time. In line with many companies we have, unfortunately, been experiencing delays in receiving supplies and with our European customers receiving their orders.  We share our customers’ and suppliers’ frustrations with these delays but are positive these will ease as the weeks progress and lessons are learnt.

Continuity of supply is our upmost priority, and the couriers we use are carefully chosen for their experience, expertise and professionalism. Much of the feedback we have received post January 1^st refers positively to the service we continue to offer.

·   France - Good experience, team listening with quick answers like sending despite the holiday season and Brexit. Very satisfied.

·   Norway - Great product and price, and fast shipping to Norway and great to do shopping with Great Britain after Brexit.

·   Greece - Very good service from the store staff. Large variety of products in branded companies. Top quality products at good prices. Very fast transfer in 6 working days I received the products. Very good store!

·   Sweden - Very fast shipping to Sweden.

·   The Netherlands - I was well advised via chat, delivery to Netherlands was very quickly and relative cheap. 

Our key logistics and sales personnel have been taking courses in many areas regarding the import and export of supplies - including invoice information, customs duties and goods origins - to prevent delays at border controls with both our goods. We now also have an external Export Manager who is helping our team with any new compliance we need to carry out.
