Web Content & Presentation Coordinator at Rapid Welding & Industrial Supplies Ltd

Location: Home based, in Dorset, Hampshire, West Sussex, Isle of Wight.

Job Type: Web Content & Presentation Coordinator. 

Working Hours: 39 Hours per Week (will consider Job Share, please specify on application) Monday to Thursday 0800 to 1700 Friday 0800 to 1600 60 minutes lunch.

Salary: Initially £23000.00.

Holiday: 20 paid days per year (pro-rata for job share) + bank holidays (Some leave mandatory for business closure between Christmas & New Year).

Additional: Company clothing, IT hardware as necessary.

From our Head Office in Portsmouth we ship welding products worldwide, on a daily basis and, with our Service Centre in Southampton, ensure we meet and exceed our customers requirements.

JOB OVERVIEW

A Web Content & Presentation Coordinator is required for our busy, expanding, welding product supply company. This role will be home based although you may be required to occasionally travel to one of our sites in Portsmouth, Southampton or an Isle of Wight location. The focus will be on working on our website by:

• Accurately loading products on the company’s platforms (including text, pricing, key features and images). 

• Maintaining and improving design.

• Ensuring continuity of presentation and ease of usability.

• As part of a small team there is a general level of additional support required for your colleagues.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS for Web Content & Presentation Coordinator

IT Literate (ESSENTIAL)

• Ability to ensure attention to detail and high quality work on a consistent basis (ESSENTIAL)

• Excellent copywriting with a high-level competency in English grammar and punctuation (ESSENTIAL)

• Strong proof-reading skills • An aptitude to learn new software and system

• Have a flair for identifying trends • Ability to follow instructions

• Ability to work in a team and to work independently when required

• Ability to use common sense • Good communication skills

• Good mathematic skills

• Any other tasks my be required to be performed as necessary

Job description 

 

·        Stores & Logistics Manager required for our busy stores, warehouse and despatch area, reporting directly to the Operations Director, ensuring goods are delivered in the most effective and efficient manner and to exceed our customers expectations. 

·        Based in our Portchester head office, the focus will be ensuring our stock is accurate, in the correct location and our customers orders can be filled accurately and quickly and this role will also require over-seeing accurate stock receiving, picking and despatching in accordance with pre-set instructions and standards. 

·        Goods returns and stock rotation. 

·        Ensuring all items despatched are correctly packaged to arrive securely and without damage. 

·        Communicating with, reviewing and revising despatch couriers. 

·        This role includes managing and motivating other stores personnel and drivers, calls for encouraging a positive and encouraging environment and ensuring team members comply with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Health & Safety, security and product safety. 

·        The role includes serving members of the public, trade customers and working with our suppliers.  

·        Striving to continually improve quality of service. 

·        Clothing and safety boots supplied. 

·        Please note: this is a physically demanding role. 

Hours 

·        Monday to Thursday 7.00am – 5.00pm, Friday, 7.00am to 4.00pm, 46.5 hours per week.  30 minutes paid lunch

Location: Cosham, Hampshire.

Working Hours: 45 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday (0800 to 1730). You must also have the flexibility to work extra hours. 30 minutes paid lunch.

Salary: c£18525 pa including paid lunch.

Holiday: 20 paid days per year + bank holidays (Some leave mandatory to cover period business is closed between Christmas and New Year).

** Candidates MUST have a Full Driving Licence, you will be based at the warehouse and will provide cover for fellow stores people / delivery drivers when required **

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Dispatch Warehouse Operative.

Successful candidates will predominately work as a Dispatch Warehouse Operative. You will also provide holiday relief cover for stores colleagues and delivery drivers. You will need to have a Full Driving Licence and the flexibility to go out on deliveries at short notice.

Working as the Dispatch Warehouse Operative you will work within a team to ensure that all goods are put away correctly, and orders are picked, checked, and dispatched correctly.

As a Dispatch Warehouse Operative you will support the smooth running of the warehouse and be responsible for preparing paperwork, to deadlines, to support courier deliveries. 

You should have excellent time management skills and customer service skills, as you will be required to serve on the trade counter while meeting daily deadlines. 

DUTIES

Dispatch Warehouse Operative duties and responsibilities include:

  • The correct receiving and putting away of supplier deliveries.
  • The correct picking, checking and packing of sales orders.
  • Completing any relevant documentation required for national and international deliveries.
  • Working in a timely and efficient manner, complying with customer deadlines.
  • Serving customers on the Trade Counter.
  • Assisting drivers with the loading of vehicles when necessary.
  • Very occasionally covering absence of delivery drivers.

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Good level of computer literacy.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Anticipate, respond to and seek to exceed the expectations of existing and potential customers.
  • Show support for business values and demonstrate a high level of honesty and integrity.
  • Respond positively to changing business circumstances and readily adapt behaviour to maintain effective performance.
  • Be able to work in a well-structured manner with strong organisational skills.
  • Ensure tasks are completed by set timescales, accurately and with an attention to detail.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships, able to communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy skills.
  • An industrial warehousing background, although this is not essential.
  • A current forklift licence would be advantageous, although this is not essential.
